Guenther, of South-terrace, Adelaide, to Dorothy Maud, second daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. R. Murray, late of Maylands. Present address- South-terrace. 17/9/1920 A CITY ROBBERY.
The residence of Mr. Rudolph John Guenther chemist at 82, South-terrace, city, was unlaw-fully entered in June last, and a quantity of jewellery and other articles was stolen. On September 13 Detective Halden saw a young man in King William-street, who gave the name of Buck, and said be lived in the west-end. When questioned regarding the theft from Mr. Guenther's house he denied having been concerned in it. The detective decided to take him to a pawnbroker's shop in Gonger-street, where some of the goods had been disposed of, and he said to the suspect. "You also answer the description of a young man who sold a bicycle to Mr. Cray, a dealer in Gouger-streetfor 30/ on August 30. Do you know anything about that.'" He replied, "I might as well tell you the truth. I took the birycle and also the watch and the other things from the house on South-terrace." The detective then arrested him.

Answering to the name of Claude Porter, alias Buck, he appeared .before Mr. E. M. Saibine. S.M. in the Adelaide Police Court on Thursday on a charge of stealing goods worth £9 7/6, the property of Mr. and Mrs. Guenther. It was shown that the accused had sold a gold-watch worth £5 for 35/, and other articles worth over £4 for a few shillings.

The accused pleaded guilty was remanded to the Criminal Court for sentence.

On a change of bicycle stealing, to which he pleaded guilty recentlv the S.M ordered him to be imprisoned for four months.
